The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Monday after issuing show-cause notice to Secretary Health Punjab Arif Nadeem in a contempt petition directed him to appear before the court on October 15 in a petition filed by four midwives of Faisalabad district. Sajida Naheed and others, submitted that the court had earlier ordered the secretary health to decide the petitioners' representations seeking promotion of their services.
They contended that the respondent secretary was not deciding their representations. They therefore prayed to the court to initiate contempt proceedings against the secretary and direct him to decide their representation.
