SINGAPORE: Taiwan's state-run CPC Corp bought a liquefied natural gas (LNG) spot cargo for delivery in April and is seeking another for May, trade sources said on Friday.
The company paid higher than market rates for the April cargo, one of the traders said, though the exact price levels could not immediately be confirmed.
CPC is one of the long-term buyers of ExxonMobil Corp's Papua New Guinea LNG project, which has been shut since a powerful earthquake on Monday forcing Exxon to declare a force majeure.
