On conclusion of the annual election process for 2012-13 of All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA), Mian Ajmal Farooq was elected Chairman, while Rizwan Ashraf, Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary and Rao Abdul Basit were elected Vice Chairmen from Faisalabad, Karachi and Lahore/Gujranwala respectively.
According to official announcement of APTPMA Head Office Faisalabad, new office-bearers and members executive committee were made by Sheikh Muhammad Ayub on behalf of APTPMA's Election Commission in Annual General Meeting (AGM) of APTPMA. The new office-bearers were inducted by Rana M Farooq Saeed Khan, Federal Minister of Climate Change during the Annual Meeting.
During the first and second phase of APTPMA election 15 members of APTPMA Executive Committee (who constituted 50 percent of the total number) were made to retire from office after completion of two year in conformity with the Trade Organisations Ordinance/Rules 2007 and following 15 members of APTPMA Executive Committee were elected to replace them for 2012-13, commencing from 1st October 2012:
FAISALABAD REGION: Rizwan Ashraf, Habib Ahmed Chaudhry, Riasat Ali Shah, Ihtesham Javed, Kashif Tauheed.
KARACHI REGION: Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary, Muhammad Shakeel, Muhammad Altaf, Abdul Rehman and Muhammad Faisal.
LAHORE/GUJRANWALA REGION: Sheikh Muhammad Anwer, Amjad Khan, M Sajid Hussain, Zahid Iqbal, Hafiz Abdul Waheed, while M Saleem Meer, Gujranwala and Abdullah Younas Raza, Gujranwala were elected for one year on the vacant seats created due to resignations of Muhammad Nouman Malik and Ghulam Sarwer Bhatti.
