Winning confidence of Baloch: Jamaat-i-Islami urges Zardari to play practical role

Secretary General Jamaat-i-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has impressed upon President Zardari to play practical role for restoring normalcy in Balochistan in order to win the confidence of Baloch people. Talking to different delegations at Mansoora here on Thursday, he said that President Zardari should stop a tug of war with the Supreme Court for achieving personal ends and instead concentrate on improving the situation in the largest and the richest province of the country.
Baloch said that the JI was striving for establishment of permanent Jirga system in Balochistan at provincial level for the solution of social, economic and civic problems, with representation from all the political parties. Besides, he said, the establishment of an impartial Jirga or Commission at national level for the restoration of peace in Balochistan was also the need of the hour.
