LAHORE: The Spot Rate Committee of the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) on Tuesday increased the spot rate by Rs 300 per maund and closed it at Rs 16,600 per maund. The local cotton market remained bullish and the trading volume remained satisfactory.
Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that the rate of cotton in Sindh is Rs 15,000 to Rs 17,500 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Sindh is in between Rs 6,500 to Rs 8,200 per 40 kg. The rate of cotton in Punjab Rs 15,500 to Rs 18,000 per maund and the rate of Phutti in Punjab is in between Rs 7,500 to Rs 8,700 per 40 kg. The rate of cotton in Balochistan is Rs 15,500 to Rs 16,000 per maund while the rate of Phutti is in between Rs 7,500 to Rs 9,000 per 40 kg.
Around, 200 bales of Ghotki were sold at Rs 16,800 per maund, 260 bales of Ghotki were sold at Rs 17,000 per maund, 1400 bales of Saleh Pat were sold at Rs 15,500 to Rs 16,000 per maund, 1400 bales of Khair Pur were sold at Rs 15,700 to Rs 16,000 per maund, 200 bales of Sui Gas, 400 bales of Kumb were sold at Rs 16,000 per maund, 400 bales of Dadu were sold at Rs 17,000 per maund, 600 bales of Hayder Shah were sold at Rs 16,000 to Rs 16,500 per maund, 400 bales of Mehrab Pur were sold at Rs 16,000 per maund, 400 bales of Halani were sold at Rs 16,500 per maund, 1000 bales of Dera Ghazi Khan were sold at Rs 18,000 per maund, 1400 bales of Lodhran were sold at Rs 16,000 to Rs 17,500 per maund, 800 bales of Fort Abbas were sold at Rs 16,500 per maund, 800 bales of Layyah were sold at Rs 15,500 to Rs 16,000 per maund, 1200 bales of Mianwali were sold at Rs 16,500 per maund, 200 bales of Mian Channu were sold at Rs 16,000 per maund, 400 bales of Shujabad were sold at Rs 16,300 per maund, 1000 bales of Sadiqabad were sold at Rs 16,300 to Rs 17,000 per maund, 400 bales of Channu Goth were sold at Rs 15,250 per maund, 200 bales of Khan Pur were sold at Rs 17,000 per maund, 600 bales of Yazman Mandi were sold at Rs 16,600 per maund, 400 bales of Tunsa Shareef were sold at Rs 16,000 per maund, 400 bales of Rajan Pur were sold at Rs 15,500 per maund, 400 bales of Bahwalpur were sold at Rs 15,700 per maund, 1600 bales of Chichawatni were sold at Rs 16,000 per maund, 200 bales of Multan were sold at Rs 16,800 per maund, 800 bales of Faqeer Wali were sold at Rs 16,000 to Rs 16,750 per maund, 400 bales of Bagho Bahar were sold at Rs 17,000 per maund and 800 bales of Haroonabad were sold at Rs 16,000 to Rs 17,000 per maund.
The Spot Rate Committee of the Karachi Cotton Association increased the spot rate by Rs 300 per maund and closed it at Rs 16,600 per maund. Polyester Fiber was available at Rs 350 per kg.
