ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), on Wednesday, granted the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), Punjab, one-day transit remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Pervez Elahi.

The ATC judge, Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain, while hearing the case, handed over Pervez Elahi to the ACE Punjab.

The ACE Punjab, on October 24, filed an application before the court, seeking transit remand of Elahi. Police did not produce Elahi before the court for transit remand. The ACE adopted the stance that they wanted to shift Pervez Elahi to Lahore to conduct an investigation of him.

The court approved a one-day transit remand and ordered the ACE to produce him before the relevant court. Later, the ACE office shifted Pervez Elahi to Lahore.
