Pakistan's junior teenager all-rounder Usman Qadir shone with the bat and ball in Australia Grade cricket in Adelaide, according to message received here on Wednesday. 19-year-old all-rounder Usman, a son of former Pakistan star leg-spinner Abdul Qadir, captured seven wickets for 104 run 26.2 overs as Port Adelaide was dismissed for 262 in the 2-day game.
Adelaide Cricket Club in reply scored 332 with Usman hammering as many as four sixes and hitting nine boundaries in his 90 off 66 balls. Talented Usman is an emerging leg-spinner, who had represented Pakistan in ICC Under-19 World Cup and Under-19 Asia Cup. South Australia Cricket Association had invited him to train under its "emerging Redbacks" programme. Usman Qadir is ineligible to play with the Adelaide, Redbacks or the Adelaide Strikers because they have filled their overseas player quota.
