Gujrat Tax Bar Association demands streamlining of services for taxpayers
GUJRAT: The Gujrat Tax Bar Association, led by President Khurram Taufiq Malik and General Secretary Tahir Hassan Butt, advocates for improved services at the National Tax Number (NTN) Cell of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in the Gujrat zone.
The current process of updating taxpayer profiles or making corrections has become a major problem for taxpayers, causing inconvenience and uncertainty.
Currently, taxpayers in the Gujrat zone are required to visit the Sialkot Regional Tax Office (RTO) for profile updates or corrections, leading to unnecessary time and cost wastage. This cumbersome procedure has raised concerns among taxpayers, who are seeking a more efficient and localized approach to address their issues.
President Khurram Taufiq Malik stated, “The current system places an undue burden on taxpayers, who are already dealing with various challenges. By appointing a Local Registration Officer, establishing an NTN Cell in the Gujrat zone, and setting up a Camp Office of the Appeal Commissioner, we can alleviate their troubles and ensure a smoother tax process.”
