12th October's step was natural and right: Musharraf

General Pervez Musharraf (Retd), Chief of APML said that 12th October's step taken by him was natural and right. People were crying due to bad-governance, country was going to be defaulted. If Nawaz Sharif would have chosen constitutional way to replace Army Chief, this could not be happen.
This he said while talking in a TV talk show, details of which than released by central information secretariat of APML here on Saturday. "Nawaz Sharif had chosen illegal and unconstitutional way to replace the Army Chief, I was in air and was replaced which not affordable step was taken by Nawaz Sharif", he said.
Due to bad governance, he said that country was going to be defaulted state, government's accounts were empty, common people were crying over lawlessness, price hike and other issues. To a question, Pervez Musharraf said that he use to compare himself with Abraham Lincoln as he (Lincoln) had also broke the constitution in the larger interest of his country, and I had done the same with same purpose. He explained that constitution is only a piece of paper if concerned country would be no more.
He said that we had offered Mian brothers to leave the country or face the cases. Shahbaz Sharif was not willing to leave the country but Nawaz was in favour. Then, on the request of Aba Gee (Mian bother's father), Shahbaz agreed to quit, he added. He said the PML-N has no support in masses as people are usually coming to attend the public gatherings of all parties including PPP, Imran Khan etc.
He said that war on terror in Pakistan was not initiated after the 9/11 but when we look in to the 2007, sectarian killings and other bloodshed was also occurring at that time. He said that permission of drone attacks was not issued in his tenure, only 7 to 8 drone attacks were occurred in four years of his tenure but now, hundreds of drone attacks were happened and they are still continued. Talking over Malala Yousufzai, former president said that this is same mindset involved in killing of Benazir Bhutto. They (involved culprits) are cruel and coward too.
He added that his mother is also praying for better health of Malala with weeping eyes. He said that decision about Lal Masjid taken by him was right, Chaudhry brothers were taken onboard in every decision and he has no regret on it. He said that he had announced to come back but very close friends of him had advised not to come back as situation was not in his favour at that time. He would come back during the next election and serve the people with wining of election.-PR
