A delegation of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (Reap), led by Reap Chairman Jawed Ali Ghori, had a meeting with top management of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to apprise them of various power related issues being faced by the rice exporters in Port Qasim Industrial Area.
The KESC team comprised Syed Muhammad Taha, Head of Planning/Distribution Strategic Function and Idrees Khan, Head of New Connections, whereas in Reap delegation prominent rice exporters, ie Safder Hussain Mehkri, former vice chairman Reap, Mahmood Moulvi, Shahid Tawawala, Chela Ram, Abdul Latif Paracha and Muzammil Rauf Chappal were present.
Reap Chairman Jawed Ali Ghori informed the KESC officials regarding very frequent loadshedding in industrial areas of Port Qasim as well as the pending matters of rice exporters due to which Reap members are facing serious problems to complete their export shipment on time and to cater the international demand and not achieving their targets which were causing huge losses directly to economy of Pakistan in the shape of valuable foreign exchange. -PR
