LAHORE: In a bid to foster business growth and enhance economic indicators, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has joined hands with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to host an enlightening awareness session titled “Potential Avenues for Business Growth,” at LCCI.
Chaired by the LCCI President, Kashif Anwar, the session aimed to shed light on the significance of stock exchange listings for businesses. Distinguished speakers including PSX Director Ahmed Chinoy, CEO Farrukh Khan, GM Raeda Latif, and Javed Qureshi discussed the pivotal role of stock exchanges in gauging a country’s economic health. President Kashif Anwar underscored the importance of PSX listings for businesses, dispelling misconceptions surrounding SMEs’ eligibility for listing.
Ahmed Chinoy elaborated on PSX’s initiatives to educate the masses about the benefits of stock exchange listings and streamline the enlistment process. He emphasized the role of listed companies in diversifying experiences and providing valuable advice to shareholders. Chinoy also highlighted the expedited enlistment process, which facilitates local companies in gaining international recognition and enhancing their profiles.
With 534 elite companies currently listed, PSX aims to elevate local companies to elite status, thereby bolstering economic development and increasing market capitalization. The collaborative efforts between LCCI and PSX aim to foster a conducive environment for business growth and elevate the stature of local enterprises in the global market.
