Pak aviation security systems: PCAA achieves impressive score of 86.73pc in ICAO audit report
KARACHI: The USAP-CMA Audit Team from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has released its report on the audit of Pakistan’s aviation security systems, conducted in February 2024.
According to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), the authority has achieved an impressive score of 86.73%, surpassing the ICAO’s goal of 80% for 2023 and approaching the 2030 target of 90%.
This success is attributed to the implementation of the National Aviation Security Act 2023 and the collaborative efforts of airports, airlines, cargo agents, ground handlers, and the Airport Security Force (ASF) working together to enhance aviation security.
The PCAA’s achievement demonstrates its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the aviation industry in Pakistan, said PCAA.
