LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has rescheduled its general council meeting to May 28, which is “Youm-e-Takbeer,” the anniversary of Pakistan’s nuclear tests conducted in 1998.

Earlier, the PML-N general council meeting was scheduled for May 11, to discuss the party affairs. However, after consultation within the party, it has been decided to hold the party’s general council meeting on May 28, sources in the PML-N said.

The PML-N leadership is pondering to entrust the office of party president and secretary general to Nawaz Sharif and Khawaja Saad Rafique. The PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah had already said, “Nawaz will lead the party again and the PML-N will move forward under his leadership.”
