Patrol Unit opened: Mohsin orders restoration of mobile signals at Margalla trails
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday issued directives to ensure strict security at Margalla trails and restoration of mobile signals in the area.
Talking to reporters after the inauguration of Margalla Trail Patrol Unit, he issued directives to the department concerned to take immediate measures for the restoration of mobile signals at the Margalla trails.
The main objective of Margalla Trail Patrol is to ensure the security of visitors including locals and foreigners. The Margalla trail patrol consists of trail motorcycles, mounted police [horses], and foot patrolling, he said.
He said the Margalla patrol trail unit consists of 60 police personnel.
The unit will ensure security of visitors, he said, adding that if any citizen loses his way or in case of any emergency the citizens will inform the patrol unit for help.
The minister issued directives to hold consultation regarding the installation of mobile tower in the area.
