After witnessing a fall in the previous three sessions, gold prices reversed their trajectory in Pakistan on Wednesday in line with the increase in the international rate. In the local market, gold price per tola stood at Rs244,000 after a single-day gain of Rs2,900.
The 10-gram gold was sold at Rs209,191 after an increase of Rs2,487, according to rates shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The international rate of gold rose on Wednesday. As per APGJSA, the rate was set at $2,365 per ounce (with a premium of $20) after an increase of $28 during the day.
Meanwhile, silver rates stood stable at Rs2,650 per tola.
Last month, gold hit an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola in the local market.
On Tuesday, gold in Pakistan had decreased Rs1,200 per tola.
