Cannes Film Festival to feature Pakistani animated feature ‘The Chronicles of Umro Ayyar’
The 77th Cannes Film Festival will screen Pakistani 3D-animated feature film, ‘The Chronicles of Umro Ayyar’, according to a press release issued on Thursday.
Ingenuity Productions, a 3D Production house, will showcase its animated feature online at the Cannes Film Market via Marche Du Film’s B2B video-on-demand service Cinando, added the press release.
“Our film’s online presence at the Cannes Film Market promises to captivate audiences, showcasing the rich storytelling and cinematic prowess emerging from Pakistan,” Haris Basharat, Ingenuity Production’s CEO, was quoted as saying in the statement.
Described as an adventure fantasy, the film is inspired by the epic tale of Tilism e Hoshruba. The story takes us through the legendary trickster hero Umro Ayyar as he travels through time and magical realms.
