KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 150,003 tonnes of cargo comprising 84,307 tonnes of import cargo and 65,696 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 84,307 comprised of 84,307 tonnes of Containerized Cargo.
The total export Cargo of 65,696 comprised of 47,015 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 83 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 16,454 tonnes of Clinkers & 500 tonnes of Oil & Liquid Cargo.
Around, 05 ships namely, Lila Ace, Stamatia, Ren Jian 23, Hyundai Shanghai and Coiapo berth at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 03 ships namely, Pride, Yong Chang Shun Hang and Amoureux sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Maersk Cabo Verde, Asia Inspire, Jag Pavitra and Hv Aliceare expected to sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 135,189 tonnes, comprising 118,226 tonnes imports cargo and 16,963 tonnes export cargo carried in 1,670 Containers (1,480 TEUs Imports and 190 TEUs export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 12 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them five ships, Aljalaa, Pan Ivy, Chemroad Journey, World Virtue and America & two more ships, San Diego Bridge and Gaslog Syndney scheduled to load/offload Fuel oil, Chemicals, Palm oil, Coal, Container and LNG are expected to take berths at FOTCO, FAP, LCT, PIBT, QICT and EETL on today 16thMay, while another containers ship ‘Clemens Schulte’ is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday, 17th May, 2024.
