LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday granted post-arrest bail to PTI-Punjab President Dr Yasmin Rashid and former Punjab governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema in a case creating a law and order situation at Sher Pao Bridge during the May 9 riots.
Meanwhile another court extended pre-arrest bail of former chairman PTI Imran Khan in three cases of May 9 riots till May 24.
The court giving benefit of doubt allowed bail to Dr Yasmin and Omar as the police had mentioned the wrong time of the alleged occurrence in the FIR.
Both the leaders, however, would remain behind the bars due to other cases registered against them.
Sarwar Road police had registered the FIR against the PTI leaders and workers on charges of ransacking and burning public property at Sher Pao Bridge in the Cantonment area during the violent protests of May 9, 2023.
