Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that Indo-Pak leadership has agreed in principle to continue with the dialogue process regardless of all the odd situations. He was addressing on Friday a Pakistan-India media conference at the Lahore Press Club (LPC).
It may be noted that a delegation of Indian media persons has arrived through Wagha border on the invitation of LPC. The two governments would take decisions without bowing down to the pressures in the interest of both countries. He said bilateral disputes could never be tackled through fights and both India and Pakistan could only opt for peace in the larger interest of peoples of two sides.
He also criticised the elements active behind fanning enmity between India and Pakistan. However, he stressed to follow the path of piece and continue the process of further strengthening relations to avoid derailing talks. Kaira said Pakistan had been flexible to the Indian TV channels and India should also respond in similar coin, and stressed to promote sport activities between the two countries to ease tension.
According to him, the visa issue of senior citizens would be resolved soon. Jahangir Badar, PPP Secretary General and Leader of the House in Senate, Anil Anand, Press Club of India Secretary General Sukhbir, Chandigarh Press Club President Singh Bajwa, Saarc CCI Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik, LPC President Arshad Ansari and LPC General Secretary Zulfiqar Mehtu also spoke on the occasion.
