A Graduation Ceremony was held at the Transport Conversion School (TCS) Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan here on Friday. Air Marshal Waseem-ud-din, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations), Pakistan Air Force was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Captains' & Co-Pilots' Course of the PAF Transport Fleet, Flight Engineers' Course and Loadmasters' Course graduated after successful completion of their respective courses. The Chief Guest awarded wings, certificates and trophies to graduating aircrew. Trophy for best performance in Flight Engineer course was awarded to Senior Technician Awais Ashraf and Trophy for best performance in Loadmasters' Course was awarded to Senior Technician Sohail Anwar.
The Chief Guest said, "The rapid augmentation in air transport reflects the ever increasing importance of tactical air transport operations encompassing the overall mission of the PAF. This expansion and up-gradation of transport element speaks of the significance given to this aspect by the Air Staff. This extensive enhancement of the fleet and the delicate nature of the undertaken operations require sound professional commitment and thorough consolidated effort to achieve the higher goals of the Pakistan Air Force.
He said, "It is worth mentioning that the extraordinary operations of our transport fleet during national calamities like earthquake and flood relief operations have been highly appreciated at all levels including Air Staff and the Government. These operations were not only conducted with professional competence, but were achieved with high standards of safety". While advising the graduating aircrew, he said, "I expect that they would endeavor to further hone their operational skills, thereby, becoming valuable members of their respective squadrons in the shortest possible time.-PR
