KARACHI: Transport Canada’s security inspectors have concluded that the security protocols at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi meet international standards.

According to the details, a four-day assessment conducted by the Transport Canada Assessment Team, led by Inspectors Barbara Durette and Abdel Tahir, evaluated various security measures at JIAP, including passenger and baggage screening, perimeter protection, cargo and catering security, and security protocols for direct flights to Canada.

The assessment also monitored security measures for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights to Toronto. The assessment team found that the security protocols in place at JIAP are in line with international standards, demonstrating the airport’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of passengers and staff.
