ISLAMABAD: The incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan on Monday said ‘they’ are planning to prosecute him in May 9 cases in the military courts. Talking to reporters after the hearing of the Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust case at Adiala Jail, he stated he never allowed anyone to commit vandalism and stage violent protests.
He said PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid stopped workers from entering Jinnah House. Our 10,000 workers had been picked up and they have been sentenced, he said.
I strongly condemn the arrest of PTI information secretary Raoof Hasan and PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, he said, adding that Hasan and Gohar were going to submit affidavits of MNAs in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Protection of the masses is the constitutional responsibility of the Supreme Court, he said.
Earlier, Accountability Court judge Muhammad Ali Warraich, while hearing the new Toshakhana case, extended the physical remand of Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi for another seven days.
Both Khan and his wife were produced before the court after the expiry of their previous physical remand.
