The federal government Wednesday slashed the price of petrol by Rs6.17, taking the rate to Rs269.43 per litre, Aaj News reported.

The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has decreased by Rs10.86 per litre to Rs272.77.

Govt set to reduce prices of petroleum products

The new prices take effect from August 1, 2024.

There was a reduction of Rs6.32 per litre in the price of kerosene, bringing its price down to Rs177.39 from Rs183.71 per litre.

Govt hikes petrol price by Rs9.99, diesel’s by Rs6.18 per litre

The drop in fuel prices comes on the back of a decline in international oil prices.

Over the past two weeks, the average price of petrol has dropped to $87.50 per barrel from $89.50, while HSD has decreased from $96.93 to $94 per barrel.

In the previous review, the federal government increased the price of petrol by Rs9.99, taking the rate to Rs275.60 per litre.

Something good.now kindly tax the property at its current value and fix IPP and get the interest rates down so business can start again.we need jobs.

Bad move, increase peyrol and disel prices by Rs 25 per liter and half the income tax rates an penalties . Govt will have probably make more money . Tax will be more broadbased an inclusive.
