PARIS: The United States topped the final medals table at the Paris Olympics on Sunday although they finished locked on 40 golds with China.
The Americans finished with a total of 126 medals with China in second place on 91 after the last event of the Games, which saw the US women’s basketball team secure a record eighth gold.
