Misuse of power: LHC directs government to take action against estate officer

The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Wednesday directed federal government to take action against an estate officer for allotting government residences to private persons. The petitioner Fayaz Ahmad submitted that estate officer Shabbir Hussain had allotted many houses to private persons in "Wafaqi Colony". He said the colony was established for federal government's servants but the estate officer took millions of rupees and allotted the houses to private persons.
The petitioner, therefore, prayed to the court to direct the government to take strict action against the estate officer.
