Taiwan stocks closed down 0.72 percent on Thursday, joining other regional bourses in lacklustre trading as the shadow of poor company earnings hung over sentiment, with panel makers the top decliners. The main TAIEX index fell 52.80 points to 7,262.08. The Taiwan dollar was up by T$0.072 to trade at T$29.270. Foreign investors were net sellers on Wednesday, bringing their total selling to T$27.3 billion this month.
