KARACHI: Amjad Rafi, former chairman Pakistan-China Business Council has welcomed Chinese prime minister along with his economic team to Pakistan on a 4-day visit to Islamabad for Shanghai Cooperation Council (SCO) Conference and bilateral talks.
He mentioned that business community of Pakistan feels very encouraged by the positive steps taken by Chinese leadership to visit at a crucial moment. While condemning the cowardly act of attack on Chinese nationals he commented, “This visit of Chinese leadership shows that incidents to damage relationship between two iron brothers cannot make any difference as friendship between Pakistan and China is higher than Himalayas.”
Business community of Pakistan also appreciates member states of SCO Forum including Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Iran, India, and Kyrgyzstan for their participation.
Amjad Rafi specially welcomed the chairman of the Board of SCO Business Council for attending the summit to highlight the Trade and Business Community’s point of view as SCO covers nearly 20% of Global GDP of the world.
While talking to media Amjad Rafi informed that SCO Charter was signed in 2002 and Pakistan became its full member during 17th summit held in June 2017 in Kazakhstan.
