zardari_555KARACHI: Criticising the Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, President Asif Ali Zardari said that the chief justice has taken up petitions against the government but has ignored the petition sent by him on revisiting the Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto case.

He was addressing a public gathering on the 4th death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Buksh, Larkana on Tuesday.

The president, who recently returned from treatment following a minor heart ailment in Dubai after the alleged memogate scandal, targeted the apex court and “anti-democratic forces”.

President Zardari said that it was after former US State Secretary Condoleezza Rice’s book that the chapter of Benazir’s assassination reopened.

“We want to make history, not headlines, said a very energetic President, adding, that the PPP government had given identity to Pakhtuns and run the country appropriately during two floods in the country.
