KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling traded slightly firmer on Tuesday, as demand for hard currency among merchandise importers tailed off, lending support to the local unit, traders said.

At 0737 GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,677/3,687, compared to Monday’s close of 3,683/3,693.
