The after tax profit of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has increased to Rs 11.298 billion in the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 9.886 billion earned in the corresponding quarter in 2011. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Wednesday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 6.88 in the period under review against Rs 6.02 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net sales increased to Rs 24.472 billion in this quarter against Rs 22.647 billion in the same quarter last year. The company's field expenditures increased to Rs 6.136 billion against Rs 5.692 billion while royalties increased to Rs 2.924 billion against Rs 2.693 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 16.740 billion in this quarter against Rs 14.718 billion in the same quarter last year.
