ISLAMABAD: The restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Kurram, Monday, witnessed yet another horrific day as two passengers from Parachinar were killed in Ochat, Bagan area of Lower Kurram.
Police and independent sources confirmed that two passengers, identified as Waseem Hussain and Ishaq Hussain, were shot dead by armed men in Ochat area of Lower Kurram. After the murder, the police source said that assailants maltreated the bodies of both the slain passengers.
Two young passengers, Ishaq Hussain and Waseem Hussain, were ambushed when they had decided to return to Parachinar with their friends from the opposite tribes because of the prolonged closure of roads.
Sources revealed that the victims paid handsome amount to their friends for bringing them to their hometown.
Local political and tribal leaders have strongly condemned the gruesome murder of the two youngsters.
Government and local authorities have been urged to take strict action and bring the perpetrators to task.
