KARACHI: Pakistan is set to make history at the world’s largest trade fair, Heimtextil 2025. The world’s biggest exhibition, focused on interior textiles and design, will take place from January 14 to 17 in Frankfurt.

With over 270 exhibitors, this is Pakistan’s largest-ever participation, showcasing the country’s exceptional textile expertise to the world and strengthening its position in the global market.

With a remarkable 10% increase in new exhibitors, Pakistan has now moved up to the fourth position among participating countries, following China, India, and Turkey. This success was made possible by relocating Pakistani exhibitors to halls 8 and 9.

Given the growing interest in textiles, additional space allocation to the new carpet hall — which already features exhibitors from Belgium, Turkey, and India — could further enhance opportunities for Pakistani companies. This expansion would allow Pakistan’s textile industry to showcase its unique craftsmanship and innovative carpet designs, broadening its influence in the global market.

To ensure seamless participation, Messe Frankfurt’s Pakistan sales partner, in collaboration with the German Embassy in Islamabad and the German Consulate in Karachi, has secured exclusive visa appointments for 400 participants. This initiative streamlines logistics for exhibitors, allowing them to focus on making a lasting impact at the trade fair. The effort reflects the strong partnership between Pakistan and Germany, paving the way for smoother trade interactions.

Kaleem Baig, General Manager and Sumaira Liaquat, Business Development Manager - Messe Frankfurt Pakistan who will also be attending the show said, “Shifting the halls from 10 to 8 and 9 has enabled us to provide space to our wait-list. We had a large number of exhibitors who had been waiting for years, and we were finally able to accommodate them. With the high ceilings in halls 8 and 9, most exhibitors have also increased their booth sizes, allowing them to display their products in a more open and inviting manner.”

With over 1,000 Pakistani visitors and 270 exhibitors supported by 1200 staff, Heimtextil 2025 is set to witness the arrival of more than 2,200 Pakistani professionals in Frankfurt over the four-day event. The demand for Pakistani textile products remains strong, solidifying the country’s reputation as a significant player in the global textile industry.

Adding to the occasion, the Director of Heimtextil, Margit Herberth, will conduct special tours of halls 8 and 9 to personally welcome and facilitate the Pakistani delegation, further emphasizing the importance of Pakistan’s participation in this year’s event.
