KARACHI: A major breakthrough was made in the unification of traders and resolution of their issues when a high-level traders’ delegation led by Electronics and Motorcycle Dealers Alliance and Karachi Sindh Traders’ Alliance Chairman Sheikh Habib called on the Senior Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Saqib Fayyaz at the FPCCI office here.
The delegation included Abdullah Shari, Convener of FBR Tax Committee Federation and Senior Vice Chairman of Karachi Sindh Traders’ Alliance, Kashif Chaudhry, President of Markazi Tanzeem Tajiran Pakistan, General Secretary Syed Abdul Qayyum Agha, Mubashir Azhar, Danish Saleem, President Pakistan Business Forum Sohail Aziz, and other prominent business figures.
The meeting discussed in detail the issues faced by the business community, especially the complexities of the tax system, economic challenges, and other obstacles.
The delegation presented several proposals for tax reforms, aimed at creating facilities for the business community and improving the business environment.
The importance of a unified platform to resolve the problems of traders was emphasized and it was resolved that all trade organisations would strive together for their rights.
Sheikh Habib said on the occasion that the problems faced by traders can be resolved only through unity and effective communication with the government and institutions.
Saqib Fayyaz listened carefully to the problems of the traders and assured that FPCCI would provide its full support to protect the rights of traders and resolve their problems.
He said the communication between traders and FPCCI will be further strengthened and practical steps will be promoted through more such meetings.
Traders’ leaders termed the meeting as positive and expressed hope that as a result of it, business issues will be resolved soon and the role of traders in the economic development of Pakistan will be further strengthened.
