RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), on Thursday, initiated proceedings to declare Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur a proclaimed offender for continuously not appearing before it in a case registered against him in connection with the November 26 protest.
The ATC judge, Amjad Ali Shah, while hearing a case against Gandapur registered at Saddar Police Station, Hassan Abdal initiated proceedings to declare him a proclaimed offender as despite repeated summons he has failed to appear before the court.
The court directed the Hassan Abdal police to ensure compliance with the proclamation and submit a report by January 21, 2025.
It also warned that failure to appear in court by the specified date would result in Gandapur being officially declared a proclaimed offender.
