PESHAWAR: Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud has directed the Capital Metropolitan for the abolition of the illegal vegetable market at Firdous locality within 72 hours and its shifting to Inqilab Road Green Market.
These directives were issued during a meeting on maintaining the smooth and uninterrupted flow of vehicular traffic here with KP Minister for Excise & Taxation, Mian Khaleeq-ur-Rehman in the chair.
The meeting was told that the beside other causes, the illegal Sabzi Mandi at Firdous locality is also affecting the flow of vehicular traffic, which is operating in the densely populated locality near Bacha Khan Square.
The Commissioner Peshawar directed the district administration and Capital Metropolitan for shifting the vegetable market to Inqilab Road within 72 hours and take stern action against those refusing the move.
After the abolition of the illegal Sabzi Mandi, the road will be opened for vehicular traffic from both sides and vehicular traffic from GT Road to Bacha Khan Chowk and Dalazak Road will be diverted on it.
