ISLAMABAD: Finance Division issued budget circular according to which budget for the next fiscal year 2025-26 would presented in the first week of June 2025.
Budget preparation steps comprised on issuance of Budget Call Circular fiscal year 2025-26, Submission of budget proposals by Principal Accounting Officers, review of budget estimates and demands (current and development) in Demand Review Committee meetings, preparation of Budget Strategy Paper (BSP) and its approval by the Cabinet (as per Section 3
of the Public Finance Management Act, 2019), issuance of Indicative Budget Ceilings, submission of BO/NIS forms and approval of the Fiscal year 2025-26 by the Cabinet and national assembly and assent the president.
As per the circular, approval of Budget Strategy Paper (BSP) FY2025-28 would be presented by Finance Division on 18th April 2025. Issuance of IBCs for current and development budget (one line to M/o PD&SI) by Finance Division is scheduled for 21st April 2025.
Issuance of PAO Wise IBCs for Development by Planning Division is scheduled for 25th April 2025.
APCC Meetings by Planning Division scheduled in 1st week of May 2025. Submission of BO/NIS for Development Budget is scheduled for 2nd week May 2025.
