KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 164,187 tonnes of cargo comprising 103,235 tonnes of import cargo and 60,952 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 103,235 comprised of 76,735 tonnes of Containerized Cargo & 26,500 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export Cargo of 60,952 comprised of 39,442 tonnes of Containerized Cargo & 21,510 tonnes of Clinker.
Approximately, 04 ships namely, Gsl Eleni, Zhong Gu Nan Ning, Xin Chang Shu & Kmtc Jebel Ali berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 04 ships namely, Navios Unite, X-Press Kohima, Apl Phoenix &B ermondi sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them six ships, MSC Lisbon, Maersk Sentosa, Artemida, Al-Kyoni SB, Epic Burano and Al-Rayyan are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Cargo volume of 163,432 tonnes, comprising 104,206 tonnes imports cargo and 59,226 tonnes export cargo carried in 5,450 Containers (2,340 TEUs Imports &3,110 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 22 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Meissa, KK Marlin and Milaha Ras Laffan & two more ships, APL Southampton and Marathopolis carrying Palm oil, ULSD, LNG and Container are expected to take berths at LCT, FOTCO, PGPCL and QICT are respectively on Wednesday 29th January, while two more containers ship ‘Marianne-I’ due arrive at outer anchorage on Thursday January 30th, 2025.
