People residing in rented houses: police to collect and verify details before Muharram

A high-level meeting of Sindh police department, presided over by Inspector General of Police, Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari, decided on Saturday that the joint teams of CID, Special Branch and Karachi police would collect the details of people living in rented houses in slums, suburban areas, commercial areas and especially in the localities along the main routes of the procession before the start of Muharram.
After collecting the details, the teams would verify the identity and other particulars of the people residing in rented houses in all such localities. The decision was taken to ensure peace during Muharram and keep an eye on the miscreants. The meeting, however, issued strict orders not to harass the law abiding people during this process.
