KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 257,370 tonnes of cargo comprising 172,228 tonnes of import cargo and 85,142 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 172,228 comprised of 84,088 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 27,784 tonnes of Bulk Cargo & 60,356 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export Cargo of 85,142 comprised of 42,161 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,267 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 38,430 tonnes of Clinkers, 2,284 tonnes of Bulk Cargo & 1,000 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 04 ships namely, Hyundai Tokyo, Theresa Singapore, Kota Lima, Msc Cairo Iv, Dinitris Y& MT Sargodha berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 07 ships namely, Sinar Sulawesi, Fairchem Fortitude, Independent Spirit, Hyundai Tokyo, Ever Excel & Songa Neptune sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of 13 ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Maersk Cairo, CMA CGM Dolphin, Leo and CL Diyin He left the port on Thursday morning, while two more ships, NCC Sama and Alaa are expected to sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 161,432 tonnes, comprising 121,431 tonnes imports cargo and 40,001 tonnes export cargo carried in 2,814 Containers (1,448 TEUs Imports &1,366 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them five ships, EVA Diamond, Kyra Zafria, One Reasuarnce, Nagoya X-Press and GFS Ruby & two more ships, SSL Brahmaputra and Bolan carrying Chemicals, Coal, Container and Mogas are expected to take berths at EVTL, PIBT, QICT and FOTCO are respectively on today Thursday 6th February, 2025.
