KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 207,614 tonnes of cargo comprising 140,961 tonnes of import cargo and 66,653 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 140,961 comprised of 59,902 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 61,047 tonnes of Bulk Cargo & 20,012 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export Cargo of 66,653 comprised of 53,053 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 500 tonnes of Bulk Cargo&13,100Tons of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 06 ships, namely Ital Universo, Zhong Gu Ji Nan, Gsl Nicoletta, Em Ruby, Addison & Victoria May berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 05 ships namely Chemroad Polaris, Apl Miami, Hmm Promise, MT Shalamar & Li Dian 5 sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a petroleum product carrier ‘Kition-M’ is left the port on Wednesday morning while two more ships, Karlskrona and DM Dragon are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Cargo volume of 131,695 tonnes, comprising 90,170 tonnes imports cargo and 41,525 tonnes export cargo carried in 4,121 Containers (2,055 TEUs Imports &2,066 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 09 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Falcon Royal, Katherine Kosan and Doha carrying Mogas, Chemicals and LNG are expected to take berths at FOTCO, EVTL and EETL are respectively on Wednesday 12th February, while three more container ships, Jaru Bhum, X-Press Anglesey and Bremen Express are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Thursday 13th February, 2025.
