Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the PML-N led Punjab government has implemented such development projects during the last four and a half years, which are of direct benefit to the common man. "If implementation of public service projects is a crime, he will commit this crime again and again as no one can stop him from serving the masses," he said during a meeting with Assembly members and Muslim League-N office-bearers from various districts, here on Monday.
Development projects and party affairs were also discussed on the occasion. Shahbaz said that provincial government has been successful in the eyes of the people and those criticising its projects are denying ground realities. He said that he will live and die for the people of Pakistan.
He said that Punjab government of PML-N has set records of public service and a new precedent has been set by promoting good governance and merit in the province. He said that international institutions have declared Punjab as the most transparent and corruption-free province. He said that such a Pakistan will be built under the leadership of President PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as was envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
He said that masses will repose their full confidence in Muslim League-N in the general elections. He said that the "gifts" of worst load shedding, unemployment and lawlessness given by Pakistan Peoples' Party and its allies during the last four and a half years, will prove to be public charge sheet against them.
He said that allied parties are equally involved in loot and plunder of the Federal government and the people will completely reject dacoits and thieves in the elections. He said that politics of corruption and plunder has ruined the country. He said that different scandals of Federal government are coming to the fore but the rulers have not meant their ways as they are more interested in minting money than betterment of the masses.
Expressing their full confidence in the leadership of President PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, PML-N office-bearers said that people of Punjab are fully satisfied with the performance of Punjab government and the pace of development projects and will vote for Muslim League-N in the forthcoming general elections. The Chief Minister stressed upon office-bearers and workers of PML-N to keep a close contact with the people and give preference to public service over all other considerations. He said that not the power but public service is the mission of PML-N and it will be achieved at any cost.
