KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 274,034 tonnes of cargo comprising 174,651 tonnes of import cargo and 99,383 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 174,651 comprised of 177,343 tonnes of tones Cargo, 392 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 1,122 tonnes of Chickpeas & 55,194 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 99,383 comprised of 80,020 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 848 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 10,904 tonnes of Clinkers, 494 tonnes of Rice & 7,117 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 06 ships namely, Eleni T, Wan Hai 611, Pera, Cma Cgm Shangai, Valence & Navios Unite berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 06 ships namely, Big Glory, One Reliability, Safeen Powder, MT Saargodha, Pera & Zheng He 3 sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two more ships, MSC Positano and Kanku Maru left the port on Monday morning, while three more ships, Vitality, Bolan and Woojin Frank expected to sail on Monday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 114,014 tonnes, comprising 86,811 tonnes imports cargo and 27,203 tonnes export cargo carried in 1,807 Containers (661 TEUs Imports &1,146 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 16 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Asia Unity, MP MR Tanker and MSC Krystal & another ship ’Eleni-T carrying Palm oil, Mogas and Container are expected to take berths at LCT, FOTCO and QICT are respectively on Monday 03rd March, while two more container ships, America and Valence are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Tuesday 04th March, 2025.
