The German Embassy, in co-operation with the Pakistan German Business Forum (PGBF), held a unique exhibition titled "Germany on the Road" here, which was inaugurated by Ambassador Dr Cyrill Nunn. "Germany on the Road" was a reflection of the multitude of linkages between Germany and Pakistan, giving German companies, Germany-linked companies and German institutions the opportunity to display their products and range of activities in Pakistan in a concise and vivid manner.
During the exhibition up-to-date information about Germany as well as appealing give-aways were handed out and a buffet lunch with German culinary specialities was offered. Students from private schools performed folk dances. These schools offer German classes with the support of the Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institute within the PASCH (partner school) framework.
German Companies Alno AG, Allianz EFU Health Insurances Ltd, BASF Pakistan Ltd, CEI Supply Chain (Pvt) Ltd, Dewan Motors (Pvt) Ltd/BMW, EXCEL Group/PrintSol, GWE German Water & Energy, Küppersbusch Teka Pakistan / Viessmann, Nordex SE Germany, Qavi Engineers (Pvt Ltd), Ravi Agric, SAP Pakistan, Transtech Group of Industries Pakistan and Zulkfil Sourcing & Services International displayed their products and services at their stalls in the exhibition.
Dr Cyrill Nunn welcomed the participants of the event and highlighted the Pak-German friendship and co-operation in various sectors of economy. This exhibition had earlier been organised in Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad and Multan and will soon be shown in Karachi.
