LAHORE: The Spot Rate Committee of the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) on Thursday decreased the spot rate by Rs 300 per maund and closed it at Rs 16,800 per maund.
Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that the local cotton market remained bearish and the trading volume remained moderate.
He also told that current cotton prices in Sindh range between Rs 16,000 and Rs 17,200 per maund, depending on quality, while Punjab’s rates are between Rs 16,500 and Rs 17,500 per maund.
Around, 2400 bales of Rani Pur were sold at Rs 16,000 per maund and 400 bales of Kumb were sold at Rs 16,500 per maund.
