ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has issued notices to the government and semi-government defaulters for payment of electricity dues, according to which government and semi-government institutions have to pay a total of Rs22.223 billion to IESCO.
- According to the information provided by IESCO Commercial Directorate, Defence (MES) Rs6,659 million, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Rs5,937 million, CDA (Pak Secretariat) Rs1,347 million, CDA (Cabinet Secretariat) Rs154 million, CDA (PM Secretariat) Rs217 million, CDA (Chairman Senate) Rs88 million, Cantt Board Chaklala Rs2,063 million, WASA Rs1,877 million, Hospital under Federal Government Rs489 million, Federal Police Rs387 million, Cantt Board Rawalpindi Rs314 million, Ministry of Railways Rs303 million, TMA Rawal Town Rs266 million, Ministry of Interior Rs244 million, PWD Rs233 million, Punjab Health and Welfare Department Rs195 million, Punjab Police Rs186 million, TMA Murree Rs180 million, Parliament Lodges Rs127 million, Punjab Jail and Convict Settlement Rs99 million, Ministry of Education Rs76 million, Ministry of Health Rs73 million, District and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Rawalpindi Rs67 million, District and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital AttockRs63 million, TMA Hassan Abdal Rs63 million, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Rs63 million, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Rs63 million, FWO Rs61 million, GM Hydel Rs49 million, TMA AttockRs46 million, Cantt Board Attock Rs34 million, FIA Rs33 million, TMA PD Khan Rs33 million, District Government Rawalpindi Rs28 million, Health District Government Rawalpindi Rs28 million, TMA Jhelum Rs27 million, Ministry of Hajj and Auqaf Rs27 million, while Health District Government Jhelum Rs24 million are defaulters of IESCO.
Chief Executive IESCO Muhammad Naeem Jan has issued instructions to all operation circle in-charges to ensure the recovery of dues from government and semi-government institutions and to meet the heads of institutions in this regard.
