KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 117,434 tonnes of cargo comprising 57,247 tonnes of import cargo and 60,187 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 57,247 comprised of 53,231 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,696 tonnes of Bulk Cargo & 2,320 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 60,187 comprised of 28,499 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 280 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 91,928 tonnes of Cement, 20,790 tonnes of Clinkers&690 tonnes of Rice.
Approximately, 03 ships namely, Beita, Addison, Gfs Giselle & Armeria berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 06 ships namely, Als Cliva, Oocl Nagoya, Msc Roberta V, Sm Kaveri, Msc Banjul Iv & Fehu sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Eleni-T and Norse Sequel are expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 149,282 tonnes, comprising 116,755 tonnes imports cargo and 32,527 export cargo carried in 3,590 Containers (2,090 TEUs Imports &1,500 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them five ships, MSC Positano, SM Kaveri, MSC Yumna, Sinar Toraja and Lebrethah carrying Container, LPG and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, EVTL and EETL are respectively on today Tuesday15th April, while two more container ships, CMA CGM Verdi and Wiking are due to expected arrive at outer anchorage on Wednesday 16th April, 2025.
