The Anti-Extremist Cell (AEC) of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday claimed to have nabbed two alleged target killers, who were said to be involved in three dozens murders, in separate raids in various parts of the metropolis.
According to CID officials, the raids on secret information were conducted at Mangophir and SITE area. They detained two alleged target killers namely Ali Raj and Tanveer Ahmad alias Tanu. They said Ali was involved in six murders while Tanu was nominated in 36 targeted killings cases. Moreover, they said both detained persons, who belonged to one of the political parties, also confessed to have committed other heinous crimes including dacoities, attempts to murder, kidnappings, etc in the city. Further investigation was underway.
