The Lahore High Court while taking serious note of police inefficiency directed SP Gujrat to produce Saqib Hussain before the court on December 6. Earlier SP Investigations Javed Iqbal appeared before the court and stated that sincere efforts were being made for the recovery of Saqib Hussain however more time was required to fulfil the task.
The court remarked that the poor performance had been wasting precious time of courts. "God knows better as to when your efforts will meet success," the court observed while addressing the SP. The court further observed that Punjab Chief Minister used to claim that traditional behaviour of police would be changed soon but it appeared that there would be no change. The court therefore directed the officer to produce the alleged missing man on next hearing otherwise an appropriate direction would be issued to chief minister and chief secretary of the province.
