Commissioner Sukkur Division / Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Mohammad Abbas Baloch chaired 9th Steering Committee meeting of Khairpur Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) at the site of KSEZ, he said that development work which was stopped previously due to revision of master plan would be resumed and expedited in due course of time.
Chairman Steering Committee meeting Baloch said that an additional land for the establishment of 20 MW Power Plant has been acquired now the land of the KSEZ project has been enhanced from 136 acres to 140 acres. He told the members of the committee in the meeting that there were many common facilities ie mosque, dispensary, training center, commercial center are being established while to maintain law and order situation police picket has already been established and Rangers are also deployed on the site to maintain security as conducive investment environment can be assured for the investors and industrialists.
He further said that request for proposal and expenditure of interests of the power plant will be published in the leading newspapers and the work of the establishment of the plant will be started shortly. On this occasion Chief Executive Officer (CEO) National Industrial Parks (NIP) Moshin M Syed told that this project will not only be the beneficial to Khairpur district but whole region and Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Naushehro Feroze will also be benefited economically from the KSEZ.
