After the release of its Nexus 7, Google has announced two more upcoming devices. The Nexus 4 is a smartphone designed by LG with a 4.7-inch display. Meanwhile, Samsung has brought out the Nexus 10 tablet, which stands out because of its high screen resolution, at 2,560 X 1,600 pixels.
Both devices should be available for purchase via Google Play starting November 13. A Nexus 4 with 8 gigabytes (GB) of internal memory costs 299 euros (387 dollars). The cheapest Nexus 10, with 16 GB, will sell for 399 euros.
Both use a new version of Google's operating system, Android 4.2, which still goes by the name Jelly Bean. One key new function is the ability to set up multiple user accounts on these devices, so multiple members of a household can take turns using them. There's also a new keyboard that can be controlled by gesture.
Google has also released an overhauled version of its Nexus 7 with 32 GB and a mobile module, giving users the ability to switch between wi-fi and UMTS networks. This version costs 299 euros and will also become available on November 13 on the Google Play store. The older Nexus 7 without a UMTS option will also continue to be sold.
